In 2024, 2025, and 2026, I was invited to create a mural that storyboarded its way through the theme passage for Youth Quake.
Youth Quake is Canada's largest Christian Youth Conference, seeing ~2000 youth and young adults attend each spring at Briercrest College & Seminary in Caronport, Saskatchewan.
Working with Youth Quake has been a great honour. Rallying behind their mission of creating life-changing experiences for youth and youth influencers by sharing the power of the Gospel through retreats, teaching, worship, and intentional community, I have loved co-creating an atmosphere that points youth to biblical truth.
Our process involves talking with the Director and her team to hear the heart and vision for the theme, creating drafts and dialoging about direction, followed by a final version that is then used to create the mural on a large scale at their venue. I had the honour of being flown out to paint each mural in-person, with the exception of 2025 (I was 38 weeks pregnant!). The design is projected onto five panels, traced, and painted all within the four days leading up to the event. It is a labour of love, prayer, and dedication to creating a space of reflection and worship of God.
